BBQ on the Beach

BBQ on the Beach (August 4, 2007)
I had a dream of water, Under the moon and the sun, A dream of songs and laughter, With sausages and buns. The ocean heard my wishes, From all around the Bay, Friends came with their dishes, To celebrate the day. Casting its shadows on the cliffs, The fire dances in our eyes, The fishes see it from the reefs, On the guitar I improvise. My dream has come and gone, We left the beach at last, And the moon says to the sun, The party was a blast!

Point Reyes (May 26, 2007)
To European standards the four miles hike to Glen Camp is barely a warm-up exercise. But remember, we’re not in Europe and the backpacks here are if not bigger at least much heavier. I suspect the delicious Chinese food for lunch, dinner and breakfast was partly to blame for turning us into Sisyphus-like creatures. No need to say that the rest of the weekend … rocked. Nothing beats a weekend away from the computer!

We thought we saw it all in Buenos Aires, but we have to admit we still have a lot to discover. After two weekends filled with tango, 24 hours of classes, we’re having a hard time hiding our smile. Never before had we ever seen a room full of people walking in slow-motion on a quest to find elasticity and tension, nor had we ever danced with a movie star. Enjoy the videos of our gods.
Pierre's visit

Pierre's visit (May 24, 2007)
Leaving his crystals and atom deposits behind, our favorite Einstein, probably bored with his hourly thermodynamic adjustments, finally beamed him-self to Mountain View space-time for a short 2-days visit. Of course Pierre would retort that 'short' is all relative. And indeed: the hours spun around as fast as electrons around the nucleus and it was with regret that we saw him leave again. May the force be with him.

Bay to Breaker '07 (May 20, 2007)
It was our fourth participation in Bay to Breaker, one of San Francisco's most disturbing and entertaining races, and we still didn't take the time to put a costume together. It is shameful but, unlike many and much to Michael's relief, we still showed up with our cloth on. Who knows, maybe one day we'll be posing on the picture with Loic ... God forbid !
Tigre

Tigre (April 7, 2007)
Tigre, the Amazon version of Venice, is a river city sitting on the Delta de Tigre where the pulsing Parana River pours into the Atlantic. Lost in its myriads river channels on a boat-ride, we found a little town smiling at us veiled behind the willows called Tres Bocas. With the same enthusiasm that Americans design the front lawn, the delta residents sure compete on their docks. That’s right; every household has a dock so they can flag stop a market boat, a hospital boat, or simply a bus boat to go to downtown. And on the way back, you'd better remember the name of the house you're staying, because there are no addresses! Will you join me for a cup of tea at the "Giggling Witch" before hitting the BBQ party at the "Smoking Zeus"?
