Academy of Sciences (February 8, 2009)
Back last November, our first attempt at visiting San Francisco's Academy of Sciences and its new building had not been very successful. Long lines had prevented us from seeing the main attractions: the rain forest and the planetarium. We learned from our mistakes and showed up much earlier this time and were rewarded with a fascinating journey that started in the tropical forest and ended light-years from where we started. Good to be back!
L.A. Trip

L.A. Trip (November 27, 2008)
It's been a long jouney, both for the nursing mother and for Nicola, who added another 400 miles to his growing world. Big trip for a little guy ? Yes indeed, but well worth it, as he finally met with his extended family. Hard to say who enjoyed it the most: Was it Nicola who pushed into unknown territories ? Was it the family in Irvine who met the first member of the new generation ? Or was it Karen and I who had a kick out of watching gown-ups babbling in quest of attention ?
Tahoe
February 14, 2009

When you think about Tahoe, you think about the powder, snowboarding, carving the snow and none-stop party at the cabin. Unfortunately for us it was more like: sick child, sick wife, sleep and never-ending day. Well, it's not quite what we had hoped for but, luckily, all went back to normal as we headed back to the bay area. One bright spot however: the game nights were a lot of fun, weren't they Jing?

Nicola (September 7, 2008)
8:51 AM, Sunday 7th - Some events change your life in ways you never thought possible. When we first stared into Nicola's eyes, the world came to a standstill and time suspended. It is indescribable the feeling that grabs you when you're meeting the miracle of your own creation. The room got reduced to a quiet loving bubble surrounding Karen, Nicola and me, outside which nothing mattered anymore. Hard to take our eyes off this little guy we had never met moments before. Our biggest adventure has begun and we're enjoying every step of it.
Wharf to Wharf

Wharf to Wharf (July 26, 2008)
Santa Cruz is a vibrant city full of unusual events. One of them is the Wharf-to-Wharf race that links Santa Cruz to the picturesque Capitola village. A 6-mile stretch that most of us, cheered up by dozens of bands playing on the sidewalk, completed in less than an hour. But if you look for the real winner of this race, look in the back, not too far though… our now eight-month pregnant hot mama covered the distance in less than two hours. Who said she didn’t deserve that kiss?

Halloween at Logitech (October 31, 2007)
Logitech's Halloween party has become now so famous that it attracts visitors from all around the Bay Area. The company's population seemed to have doubled for a few hours today and it was not unusual to run into pirates or creatures from other planets while strolling along the corridors. Hard to work under these conditions…
