The wedding was a smashing success, the suit was returned, the tango shoes were put aside, the thank you cards are written...almost, and we can finally enjoy some time with our Parents! The 'An gang', as Loic likes to call them, still has a day to spend in the US before hopping onto the plane and being blown away to Singapore by Typhoon Prapiroon. So what do you do on August 1st in California with a Swiss guy? You take the best of both worlds and enjoy an afternoon in Napa before dipping into the unavoidable pot of melted cheese.

Karen and Patrick first met at a crepe party, in Pascal's deep dark East Palo Alto apartment. Karen had been told about Patrick's DJ turntable, Patrick had been told about her passion for dancing and singing. They only knew a little about each other, but the bits and pieces were enough to spark the flames. Four years has brought Patrick and Karen closer together day after day. They managed to shrink the 400 miles between Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area down to the 4 centimeters between the pairs of their eyes. Then their hearts made a bigger and bigger place for each other and finally melted into one. We got married!

While the girls are out for Anne's bachelorette party in L.A., the rest of us are invited for a leisurely afternoon at Arnaud's and Valerie's house. It is a perfect occasion to dig out the swimsuit that I didn't use since last November in Hawaii and the long socks (required to get in the house) that were kindly given to me during the bachelor party... I looked almost like Christian! The dinner was amazing, as always: Couscous with BBQ chicken and a birthday cake for dessert. Someone must have forgotten to mention the birthday on the invitation. Happy 29th birthday Valerie!

It was in a joyful atmosphere that both our families, soon to become one, finally met around the dinner table. After countless letter exchanges between Taipei and Preverenges, it was finally time for our parents to meet face to face. Yes, a sino-swiss adaptation of 'Meet the parents'. Since we wanted everything to be perfect, we opted for Rachel’s favorite food: meat of course! The evening was a great success but it got even better with the announcement of the baby... check out the pictures for hints.

Ming and Emily's wedding officially marked on July 15th the beginning of the wedding season. With the ceremony taking place in the grand St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, many of us, still in line to get married this year, are wondering how to prevent our marriage from looking pale compared to this one! There have been a lot of changes at Logitech since the company reached its 25 years of existence. The most important thing, as far as we engineers are concerned, is the arrival of two huge new BBQ grills for our department. We all think that it gives a big boost to our productivity and therefore we don't hesitate to use them extensively!
