When you hear about a spanish-italian couple organizing a Hawaiian-themed housewarming party, you better start getting excited. What's so exciting? Well, for a starters, you get a warm Hawaiian welcome from your hosts and get to enjoy the heated water of the swimming pool. But of course that's nothing in comparison with the delicious food and cocktail, the amazing decorations and the cheerful atmosphere. Oh, and Francesco dancing with a coconut bikini... priceless.

The biggest chefs of the Bay Area came together this Sunday for their quarterly competition. All of us were dreaming about bringing back home the prestigious red apron, symbol of culinary excellence. Organizers had carefully selected the secret ingredient which turned out to be none other than the very one that had helped them to their decision: mushrooms! The contestants went beyond themselves to come up with deliciously creative and eye-pleasing concoctions. But there was no competing with our winner, who came up with a simple yet provocative design leaving girls speechless and boys envious. Congratulations to Fan and see you in June!

Call me naive but I didn't see this one come. After all these years I should be just a little bit suspicious, but I guess the surprise is always so sweet that I subconsciously just know I don't need to think about it. And it was sweet: Karen took me to the movies! For those who think this is lame, just know that we hadn't been to such a place since September. Yes, life DID change a little.
