It's Asian Thanksgiving right now.. aka Moon Festival. It's a national holiday, and so I decided to sleep in and write my blog (since I haven't updated in so long)!
One thing I miss most about America is UCLA. UCLA was so good to me.. 1) Going to class - seeing the same people in my major every day 2) Doing homework - it all seemed so important back then! 3) Walking up Bruin Walk - seeing all of my friends every day on Bruin Walk 4) Eating lunch at Ackerman - for those lazy days on campus when I didn't want to eat dorm food, didn't pack lunch, or didn't feel like riding somewhere 5) Going to meetings - it all seemed so important as well.. maybe they were :) 6) The dorms - the convenience, the friends, the fun.. the late nights haha 7) The apartments - the inconvenience, but the friends and the fun! 8) The gym - nothing better than enjoying free gym with friends and UCLA girls! 9) Going to the machine shop - building whatever we wanted to build 10) The library - nothing better than studying with lots of UCLA girls 11) Bruin Motorcycle Association - friends, family.. and motorcycles 12) Seeing friends - everyone was in a square mile of each other 13) Driving around LA - LA's got everything.. good food, places to see.. 14) Sunset Rec - the swimming pools, volleyball court, tanning salon grass fields, sports... 15) Good-looking girls - nothing better than UCLA girls.. period.
I'm finally home from a long, 2nd week at work in Arizona. Needless to say, I miss California's beaches and cooler weather. However, Arizona's got something California doesn't have: luxury at a low cost. It turns out state income tax is only 4.24%... so I get another $100 :)
Monday through Wednesday is tough. My coworker, David, and I end up working from 8:30 AM until.... at least 7:30 PM. By Thursday, we tirelessly went to Tilted Kilt to hang out with the coworkers and get some fresh air. Without taking pictures of the girls, here's a picture of the food:
Some more of Arizona:
Outside the office
My first rental car. Before my second one... a crappy Kia, haha!
My cubicle. I love the privacy! My netbook sucks though... I can't wait to bring my real laptop over, haha.
